Little Free Library
Designed and built by a WVHS member, the WVHS Little Free Library is constructed of materials selected from several historic sites in or near West Volusia:
1926 Ludowici roof tiles used on a number of early 20th Century homes in DeLand.
Old growth Cypress re-claimed from a late-1800s boathouse on Lake George--symbolic of the importance of the region’s lumber industry.
Mahogany from an antique Trumpy Motor Yacht, a reminder of the important role steamboat transportation played in the founding and development of DeLand.
The WVHS Little Free Library has been officially chartered by the national organization, joining more than 80,000 registered Little Free Libraries in all 50 states and over 90 countries.
