Our volunteers are involved with the Historical Society in many important ways. Here's a few:
Community Outreach Events/Exhibits
Educational programs or workshops – planning and coordination, make presentations
Event assistance: Refreshment host; Parking Lot Attendant; Ticket sales/ticket taker
Exhibits, displays, seasonal decorating
Fundraising activities and special events – planning and coordination
Makers Guild for the gift shop
Marketing & Communication: Graphic design; Website; Social media; Mass Email; News Media Liaison
Office Functions: accounting/bookkeeping, computer support, greet visitors, phones, email
Property management; landscaping maintenance; light housekeeping
Research assistance
Reenacting historical characters
Tour Guides in the museum or bus tours, or at special eventsWriting/Editing/proof-reading
